Years ago I needed a creative space that fit into my life of emerging parenthood, so I opened an Etsy store. I focused on repurposed objects, and textile jewelry. My shop ended up doing well, and I spent many weeks on the front page of curated content. By the time this creative project ended, I had sold over 500 custom pieces to customers all over the world, and was featured in multiple blogs and magazines. All of my work is seasonal, and these pieces witness to years of intimate creativity. I had a desk in the corner of a tiny apartment, an old German sewing machine, and small children under foot. It was a beautiful window of time where I learned to follow my instincts. Now I have work all over the world, hanging not on gallery walls, but carried into the lives of strangers and friends as functional art.
